Andatech at the Safety in Action Expo 2014 Sydney

The Safety in Action expo last week saw the Andatech Sales team – James, Jess, Mike and Irwandy – travel to Sydney for three days to meet customers and resellers at the region’s only dedicated workplace health and safety event.

The team had the opportunity to meet current and potential customers and resellers face-to-face and our director, Irwandy, had the chance to meet clients directly.

The three-day event attracted more than 5,000 health and safety decision makers from multiple sectors across Australia, and through the event we were able to communicate with our customers directly to answer questions, get important feedback on our products and services, and offer advice on health and safety programs for their workplaces. On showcase at the expo were our breathalyzers and drug testing kits.

Our booth was brightly decorated in green – our favourite colour. Ours was the only brightly decorated booth at the show and undoubtedly attracted a lot of visitors, who commented on how welcoming it was!

Many  took up the offer to have laser engraving with their  AlcoSense Zenith+ breathalyser. It’s a new service provided by Andatech, and you can engrave a personal message or a logo or picture onto the back of your Zenith+ breathalyser. It’s an excellent idea for personal or company branding, corporate gifts, or just to add a more personalised touch to your gift for a loved one.

The AlcoSense Verity attracted  attention from visitors who all loved that you could buy one in various colours.

But perhaps the most interesting revelation from talking to visitors and clients at the Expo was the increasing interest in drug testing kits for the workplace. With harsher new laws for drug and alcohol testing in the workplace, organisations are looking more seriously into either introducing or improving their policies at work.

At the end of the three days at the Expo, we had given out all our catalogues, business cards, pens and jelly beans. We also met many new faces and figures, got to know our clients on a more personal level, and gave away an AlcoSense Verity  to one lucky winner in our  prize draw.

All in all, it was a delightful experience for all of us involved.

P.S. Jess beat James at sales.
