Andatech to launch new breathalyser at MEGATRANS 2018

While alcohol and driving are a no-no in the transport industry, having just a small nip on the Andatech stand at MEGATRANS will provide insight into how sophisticated personal breathalysers are today.

Andatech, on Stand 4023, is a 100% Australian owned company that designs, supplies, supports and services high quality alcohol and drug testing equipment with the widest range of Australian Standard-certified breathalysers in Australia.

To be launched at MEGATRANS is the Andatech Sentry, a new baton breathalyser that can take 12 samples per minute and even get a reading from someone who is unconscious as passive testing without a mouthpiece can be undertaken. It can also double as a flashlight and has LED lighting in red, red blinking, white, and red/blue.

Visitors to Andatech’s stand can go into a free daily draw to win an AlcoSense Zenith+ industrial grade personal breathalyser worth $449. It has a fuel cell sensor for highly accurate readings (up to three decimal places) and a hidden, built-in mouthpiece.

Experts on the stand will provide free consultations for companies looking to set up drug and alcohol programs in their workplace, taking into account their specific requirements, frequency/volume of testing desired and level of equipment needed. Andatech will then recommend the best and most affordable tailored solution.

The new Sentry and a full range of Andatech breathalysers can be tried on the stand but visitors will have to BYO nip if they want to get a BAC (blood alcohol concentration) reading above zero.

Breathalysers from Andatech are designed for personal or company use in any transport environment and include the Prodigy S hand-held device, Soberpoint and Soberlive wall mounted units and car interlock devices.

On the stand will be two drug testing kits that provide saliva and urine testing with the saliva testing covering seven drug groups (DrugSense DSO7) and the urine test covering nine drug groups (DrugSense DSU9), both providing error-free results.

Also on show will be Andatech’s new Hummer 24V power bank jump starter for large trucks. Featuring a high capacity lithium battery, it incorporates a powerful LED light and can double as a phone charger via a USB slot.

Exclusive product bundles will be available at MEGATRANS at special show prices and freebies, such as disposable breathalysers and drug test kits, will be given away during the course of the show (subject to availability).
