Service Plans

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes, you can change your plans at the end of the 1 year renewal period.

This can be done through your customer portal online, or by giving our friendly support team a call.

Do I need to book my calibrations manually if I'm subscribed to a plan?

Not with a service plan! All plans include hassle-free reminders and automatic scheduling — no need to remember or manually book your service.

How do I calibrate my breathalyser if I don’t want a plan?

Without a plan, you can still pay for calibration as needed. You'll be charged a fee just for calibration, which will have a 5 business days turnaround, and will exclude all shipping costs. You won't get the benefits of subscribing to a plan such as next-day priority calibration and extended warranty coverage.

You can book in your calibration on Andatech Caltrace at any time.

Payment & Renewal

How does annual auto-renewal work?

When you sign up, you pay upfront for 12 months of coverage, which includes two calibrations—one every 6 months. The calibration schedule starts from the date your unit was purchased or last calibrated. If that date is more than 6 months ago or unknown, the first calibration will be scheduled immediately.

When will I be charged for renewal?

Your subscription will auto-renew every 12 months from your original purchase date. The renewal fee will be automatically charged to the same payment method you used initially.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment doesn’t go through, we’ll retry every 1 day until it succeeds. You’ll also receive reminder emails sent to your order email address to keep you informed.

How are calibrations scheduled after renewal?

After your subscription renews, calibrations will continue to follow a 6-month interval (for personal breathalysers and workplace breathalysers on the AS3547:1997 plan) or 12-month interval (for workplace and wall-mounted breathalysers) based on your most recent calibration date.

Plan Benefits

How does the 10% store discount work?

As an active subscriber, you’ll receive an automatic 10% discount on all store-wide purchases, excluding service plans.

To ensure the discount is applied, make sure you’re logged in with the same email address used to purchase your subscription plan.

The discount remains valid only while your subscription is active.

What does the extended warranty cover?

The extended warranty covers everything outlined in the original warranty terms and conditions. This includes protection against manufacturing defects and faults, as detailed in our Warranty T&Cs.

Is my breathalyser covered under warranty while I’m subscribed?

Yes – as long as you maintain an active subscription, your breathalyser is covered by our extended warranty, potentially for its entire lifetime, even beyond the standard manufacturer warranty period.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Warranty coverage begins after your first calibration service under any plan.
  • From that point, your unit is covered for the next 12 months and will continue to renew annually as long as you remain subscribed and calibrations are up to date.
  • If your last calibration service was over 12 months ago at the time of a claim (regardless of your plan level – including the discontinued Gold or Silver plans), the extended warranty coverage will not apply.

How does the free breathalyser upgrade work on the SmartCare Plan?

If you’ve been on the SmartCare Plan continuously for 5 years without any breaks, you're eligible for a free upgrade to a new personal breathalyser of the same or higher value.

To claim your upgrade:

  • Simply contact us once you've reached the 5-year mark.
  • There’s no need to return your old unit — the upgrade is yours to keep.
  • The plan must have been active and uninterrupted for the full 5 years to qualify.

This is our way of rewarding your long-term commitment with the latest in breathalyser technology.
