IMPORTANT UPDATE
Calibration Changes Effective 28 October 2025
Andatech has moved from a 6-month calibration cycle to a 12-month cycle following extensive testing on our latest fuel-cell sensor technology. Our NATA-accredited laboratory has confirmed that under normal personal and workplace conditions, the sensors in our breathalysers remain accurate and stable for up to 12 months.
Today’s sensors are more advanced, more resistant to drift, and capable of maintaining long-term accuracy. This improvement allows us to extend calibration intervals confidently without compromising reliability, while also reducing downtime and overall maintenance costs for customers.
Along with this update, our calibration pricing and management plans have been refreshed as of 28 October 2025 to reflect the new 12-month cycle. For high-volume or safety-critical environments (such as daily workplace testing), a 6-month calibration cycle is still recommended to ensure optimal performance.
Thank you for your continued support.

Why do I need calibrate my breathalyser?
Why do I need calibrate my breathalyser?
Users need to calibrate their breathalyzers regularly. Continuous usage or the passage of time can lead to sensor drift, which may affect the device's ability to accurately measure alcohol breath samples.
This requirement also applies to other measurement tools, such as weight scales and humidity meters.
What happens during a calibration service?
What happens during a calibration service?
During the calibration service, a professional technician will evaluate the accuracy of the breathalyser against a known alcohol sample. If the breathalyser is found to be inaccurate, the technician will readjust the unit's sensor until it records an accurate reading.

With a management plan:
- Pack your breathalyser securely in a padded parcel bag or box after removing all its accessories.
- Print and attach the return label that you received through email.
- Drop your breathalyser off over an Australia Post counter and get a lodgement receipt.
- Wait for your breathalyser to be calibrated and mailed back to you.
If you're not on a management plan, you'll need to book a one-off calibration on Caltrace first, then print the return label from the booking to ship the unit back to us.
Can I book a one-off calibration without the plan?

What is a NATA accreditation?
What is a NATA accreditation?
A NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) accreditation is a formal recognition that a calibration laboratory, like Andatech's centre in Melbourne, is competent to conduct specific calibration, in this case, breathalyser calibrations.
It signifies that the laboratory meets internationally recognised standards and operates under a rigorous quality management system.
