Andatech introduces new annual calibration schedule for breathalysers

Andatech is pleased to announce an update to our breathalyser calibration schedule — moving from six-monthly to 12-monthly calibrations across our professional and personal range.

This update applies to our current range of breathalysers only. Discontinued models are not included in this change and will continue to follow their existing calibration requirements.

This change, which will be implemented starting 28 October 2025,  reflects our growing confidence in the stability and long-term accuracy of Andatech’s advanced Fuel Cell Sensor Technology and our refined calibration techniques.

Compliance and performance of our devices are maintained through our Calibration and Servicing program, which utilises the Andatech NATA accredited Calibration Centre in Melbourne.

Our in-house testing has shown that select breathalysers maintain exceptional accuracy for extended periods, allowing us to reduce the calibration frequency while continuing to deliver the same level of reliability our customers expect.

That confidence is backed by our calibration team’s consistent success in the Victoria Alcohol Sample Proficiency Test — an external quality assessment where laboratories are sent unknown alcohol samples to analyse and are evaluated against a known standard.

By extending the calibration period, we’re providing our customers with a more convenient, cost-effective, and compliant experience — without compromising the accuracy, performance, or reliability that Andatech breathalysers are known for.

“Our devices have demonstrated outstanding stability and long-term accuracy,” said Dave Tagavi, Head Calibration Technician at Andatech. “Most customers prefer a 12-month calibration cycle, as it reduces downtime and fits better with operational schedules while still meeting all compliance requirements.”

The new calibration plan reflects both the strength of our Fuel Cell Sensor Technology and our continued commitment to making alcohol testing easier and more efficient for workplaces and individuals alike.

Customers with an existing calibration plan will not be affected — their current plans will continue as scheduled until renewal.

Customers can explore our updated calibration management plans and pricing by visiting our breathalyser calibration page.
