Melbourne, VIC, 23 May 2022 – The Andatech Soberlive FRX wall mounted breathalyser is now Australian Standard AS3547:2019 certified. This Australian Standard endorses the capability of the Andatech Soberlive FRX in providing accurate and reliable breath alcohol test results.
Compared to the older Australian Standard AS3547:1997, breathalysers certified under the latest standard are assessed with several updated requirements, including:
- The breath alcohol results should not exceed the Maximum Permissible Errors (MPEs) which is ±0.005g/210L for 0.050g/210L of breath alcohol concentration.
- The breathalyser’s accuracy must be maintained within the MPEs for at least six months after calibration.
- The breathalyser should be accurate regardless of various physical or environmental conditions such as the state of charge of the battery or the presence of interfering substances.
- The breathalyser should have a recovery time of less than one minute.
These requirements ensure that the breathalyser will be able to perform accurately under high volume breath alcohol testing conducted in the workplace.
“The Andatech Soberlive FRX was introduced back in 2020 for regular breath alcohol testing on-site with user verification using facial recognition. Clients will receive a loan sensor before dispatching the sensor for calibration so that breath alcohol testing can go on without interruption,” said Irwandy Tan, founder of Andatech. “The AS3547:2019 certification of this breathalyser assures its sensor’s accuracy for at least six months of unlimited use before calibration is required.”
Andatech has recently received the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation in breathalyser calibration.
