[Melbourne, 12 June 2023] - Andatech, an Australian-owned global leader in alcohol and drug testing solutions, is pleased to announce that its DrugSense DSO8 Plus oral drug test kit has recently been verified for compliance with the standards of the latest Australian/New Zealand Standards for oral drug testing procedures, AS/NZS 4760:2019.
This verification confirms the kit's accuracy and reliability in detecting various drugs in saliva samples.
The updated AS/NZS 4760:2019 standard brought significant changes, including new cut-off levels for THC (marijuana/cannabis) and the addition of oxycodone as a mandatory test. Notably, the new cut-off level for THC is considerably lower at 15ng/mL compared to the previous level of 25ng/mL.
The verification of the DrugSense DSO8 Plus Saliva Drug Test Kit was conducted by a highly reputable independent NATA accredited laboratory specialising in drug testing. The evaluation of the drug testing kit formed the basis of the verification process. The verified drug groups include amphetamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, opiates, oxycodone, and Δ9-THC. The benzodiazepine test strip is also verified to the cut-off concentration on the device, as stated by the laboratory’s director.
The testing kit can also detect 25ng/ml of K2 (synthetic cannabis) which is not a drug group assessed in the Australian Standards guidelines. Alcohol levels of up to .02% BAC can also be detected by the DrugSense DSO8 Plus.
